Post Revenge of the Sith: Solstice Festivities
Even though Sabé insisted he get some rest during the day, he was adamant about helping her with the Winter Solstice preparations. This included various activities, the most interesting of which was the creation of various traditional Nabooan dishes that he had never heard of before, let alone tasted. Sabé was kind enough to go over the symbolism of each dish, such as the long noodles for longevity and the boiled eggs for the full moon. It fascinated him that their culture had such a variety of legends to go along with the holiday as well.
He listened eagerly to each of the tales as they worked together in her kitchen. He had a time with the dough though and found that though he could create a lightsaber, forming proper Nabooan patterns in dough was not as easy as she made it look.
Sabé often paused in the retellings of traditional legends, saying she felt she was boring him, but this was far from the case.
And soon it was evening, the suns had set, and the dishes were finally complete. It had been quite a day and he was tired, but very happy.
The day was wonderful in ever sense of the word. She thought when she first arrived here that this time of year would be spent in sorrow, bearing the memories of a past that had long since been destroyed. But instead it was filled with fun joy and peace that even the old days could have never surpassed.
She savoured the joy and excitement felt as Obi-Wan helped her prepare and couldn't resist allowing herself to become lost in the moment. She did her best to explain the history and legends that each item represented. She feared he would find it all boring, yet he found it to be more fascinating then anything else and it caused her heart to soar to be able to share this sacred celebration with him.
Though he struggled to form the intricate patterns finding his attempts to be both endearing and touching. She enjoyed his presence immensely and despite the exhaustion of the days events she was lighthearted and upon noting the sun setting she couldn't help but cast him a smile.
"Now is when the celebrations begin, for it is the time of year when the light is at its weakest. So we through our festivities we celebrate and turn our eyes against the darkness of night. Reminding ourselves as we do so that that even now darkness will never truly reign.
It is in reality a celebration of hope. "
She explained finally before falling silent as she realized just how powerfully accurate this had become in her own life. He was her ray of light, the final hope she had almost lost. Taking his hand she quietly leads him outside.
"It is time to watch the twilight fall and the moon rise."
As if reading her thoughts, he repeated softly, 'A celebration of hope...' Turning his head towards her, he added, 'I think that's more than fitting, don't you?'
He felt her hand slip into his as she led him outside her home. It was a beautiful night and not too windy. In fact, it was perfect.
They had prepared a pallette on the ground, securing it with a few pins in each corner and set out the dishes they would consume as they awaited the rise of the moon.
Simply beautiful were the words that came to his mind as the darkening sky revealled the seasonal star alignments and the moon crept up higher. He cast a glance at her, examining her profile in the moonlight.
She smiled at his words as she nodded.
"Without question."
As they stepped outside Sabe took in a sharp breath of air enjoying the soft cool breeze that had yet to turn chilly.
With his help she had set up the table and placed their food on it before quietly joining his side as she watched in silence as the sky turned different shades of reds and oranges before purples and finally black. But it was hardly dark for the moon was soon rising and it lit up the sky as the stars became a heavenly blanket that was wrapped around the planet.
"Lovely isn't it?"
She softly breathed as she watched in silent awe, before she felt her cheeks warm as Sabe could almost feel his eyes studying her. Though she tried to keep her gaze ahead on the night sky she couldn't help stealing a glance to the Jedi Master by her side, taking in his features that are partially revealed and yet hidden in teh moonlight.
"Still find stargazing for primatives?"
She teased offering him a mischevious smile as her eyes sparkled with joy.
He agreed with her, it was magnificent.
'No, no,' he murmured, hoping she wouldn't take that comment to heart. He shook his head, looking down, slightly embarrassed.
'I suppose I just hadn't ever appreciated the view before, all of those systems out there. We memorise data about the stars, strictly facts, but never saw the galaxy in this way before.'
She noted his reaction to her teasing and instantly felt bad.
"I'm sorry I was only teasing I hope you know that."
She said taking his hand as she gave it a squeeze. At his words she studied him for a moment before turning thoughtful at his comments.
"Sometimes one needs to do that, let go of the facts and figures and just marvel at the simple beauty of it all."
A sudden thought occurs to her and she casts him an embaressed look.
"I almost forgot! Can't have a celebration without music. Hold on!"
She promptly returned inside and soon haunting tunes can be heard through the open windows. Though it sounds peaceful it carries an air of mysterious to it as though the composor knew of a secret they sought to both share and keep hidden to themselves. Emerging a few moments later Sabe quietly joined him her eyes sparkling now in joy and amusement.
"This is some of the more popular symphonies played at this celebration. This one actually speaks of an ancient god who fought the darkness of night to protect the lady of the sun who had fallen prey. It's quite a romantic tale apparently if I recall correctly it served as a metaphor for the Old Guard who regarded themselves as the representatives of this ancient god while the lady of the sun had become known as Naboo.
It is tradition for warriors to dance with their mates to this song, for it's said to be a symbol of good fortune. I don't know how much of it is true or if it's just an excuse made for prospective suitors who were courting but who am I to deny tradition?"
She remarks finally before bowing deeply as she offered a hand.
"So Jedi Master Kenobi would you do me the honours of joining me in this dance?"
When Sabé jumped up to run inside, it sparked his curiousity, but then he heard tha haunting tune and was amazed at how well it fit the mood.
Her story about the god and goddess relating it to the warriors and courtiers was intriguing, but when she spoke of suitors and mates, a knot caught in his throat. He remembered what Mrs. Darklighter had said and before he knew it, she was asking him to dance.
'Er--' he said, quite nervous as he rose and took her hand. 'I don't think I ever--I mean, I haven't ever danced before...' But then he recalled their sparring sessions and how that had seemed like a dance of sorts. Perhaps it wouldn't be so bad then. 'You'll have to show me how to.'
She just grinned at his words obviously unphased by his awkward admittance as she took his hand leading him to the middle of the larger courtyard.
"You have nothing worry about! I can't say I'm the best dancer myself. To be honest I was once told that the only way I would ever learn to waltz would be if they placed a sword in my hand and told me to pretend I was sparring. So if thats any sign I really don't think we'll have a problem."
She said laughing softly as she gave him a wink. Then turning a little more serious she tried to hide her own nerves as inwardly she couldn't help but wonder what she was doing. What if I end up stepping on his feet? Or worse trip on him? She inwardly feared knowing how ungraceful she felt without a blade in her hand. However she took a deep breathe casted him a kind smile before sheepishly showing him how to get into position to begin the dance.
The lilting voice and reassuring words lent him courage and he followed her directions with less hesitancy. She placed his hand on her waist and held the other as they began the dance.
For a good while he was focused on his feet, not wanting to step on her, but with aid of the Force he had an easier time avoiding that disaster. The footwork wasn't complicated, but to get it right and have to go along with the beats in the music was a bit more challenging.
Once he got the hang of it, he looked into her eyes, chuckling at this new experience.
When the song ended, they stopped dancing, but he was reluctant to move away from her. 'Do you like it here, Sabé? Do you like it enough to want to stay here with me?'
She began their dance slowly, hesitant of her own movements and she quietly guided his steps so they fell into place properly without stepping onto his toes. Her heart was racing as she felt eager to leave a good impression of her dancing skills. But if she missed a step he was gracious enough not to mention it. But as the moment drew on she grew more comfortable and soon found herself beaming to his laughter and growing lost in his gaze.
But eventually the music drew to a close and though they stop their dance she remained near not wishing to part from his subtle 'embrace'. At his question Sabe couldn't help but turn a little curious. Tilting her head slightly she furrowed her brow obviously unaware of the true meaning of the question presented.
She couldn't say Tatooine was her choice place to live, but since she had discovered his presence suddenly the fiery and harsh desert had become an oasis, the sanctuary she had long since believed never to exist. Closing her eyes she nodded slightly before offering him a gentle smile.
"My dearest Obi-Wan I would call the bowels of the Abyss home, if I knew you would be there by my side."
Overwhelmed at her protestation, he admitted, 'That's good because I want to marry you and if you didn't want to stay on Tatooine then I wouldn't be able to ask--' And he caught himself. He stopped short, closing his mouth and looking rather embarrassed.
That was certainly not how he had intended on going about asking her.
He looked at the ground. 'I er...I mean...that is to say if you'd have me?' Obi-Wan finally looked up to see what she thought of the idea. His stomach was in knots for reasons undefineable.
She raised a brow slightly in confusion at his jumbled words and for a moment she could only stare at him.
Her mind however was quick to piece together the remarks leaving her silently stunned in disbelief. No I couldn't have just heard that right she inwardly surmised. He didn't just ask me to marry him, I'm just filling my head with foolish nonsense and daydreams again.
But at his embarressed reaction and his nervous admittance her eyes widened in joy as he finally glanced up. She tried to form the words necessary but none came for a moment as she could only stare at him beaming in silence her heart pounding so fiercely she was certain ti would explode from her chest.
Suddenly her senses returned and she pulls him into a bear hug as she whispered in his ears the simple reply she so desperately wanted to say but couldn't in her overjoyed state of mind.
"Yes. The answer is yes!"
Unable to resist Sabe drew back slightly, before pulling him near as she kissed him full on the lips unable to believe how her secret and often silenced wish had just become a reality.
Obi-Wan hadn't expected she would accept let alone that she was throwing her arms around him. By the time he was about to react, she was kissing him. She hadn't ever kissed him before, not initiating it.
His arms moved of their own accord, wrapping around her smaller frame, drawing her closer as he kissed her back. The kiss was a silent pledge of honour so long-deserved.
The anxiety was no longer present as her warm body pressed against his, his hand brushing through her long hair.
The moon was high, but did not block out the stars glistening above them. It was a magical evening, imprinted on his memory forever. They would be able to spend more nights like this, kissing under the stars on the deserts of Tatooine. Suddenly, though as unrealistic as he knew it to be, he felt like he would not ever be alone again.
Time once more stood still as Sabe melted into his embrace enjoying his soft touch and his gentle kiss. As well as the perfect aura of peace that surrounded them and the beauty that was the night sky. It was as though even the heavens was smiling upon them and Sabe never felt more blessed in her life.
We have done our duty, served our masters well and now we can finally enjoy a moment of rest she inwardly thought. May the gods be praised for being so abundant in their rewards. But eventually she drew away from their kiss, her eyes shining as a smile still plays on her lips. She didn't want to leave his arms but at the sametime she did want to continue their celebrations and the time had come for them to begin to partake of some of the dishes prepared.
"The night is still young, and the celebration has only begun."
She said gently leading him back to the table with the food as she can't help but continue to steal him glances as a wide smile dances on her features.
As they take a seat she poured him some juice that is native to Naboo and raised her glass as she gave him a loving smile.
"To such perfect nights, may we be blessed with many more to come."
When she eventually pulled back, Obi-Wan noted just how radiant Sabé was in the moonlight. She led him over to where they had left the various edible items and took a seat next to her.
It had been in the back of his mind all throughout the preparations today that they would be celebrating much more than the Solstice, but it was only now that he saw just how true the that feeling was.
He raised his glass to hers in toast, smiling at her in turn. The glasses clanked briefly together and he sipped the liquid he had only tasted once before. 'This is very nice,' he remarked before they moved on to one of the first traditional dishes.
It was interesting that though he'd spent time helping, they actually tasted different than he would have expected. He recalled how she had lamented the fact some of the ingredients had to be substituted, but nearly everything tasted wonderful to him. One was a bit too spicey for his taste, despite the juice to wash it down with. He had a feeling she would tease him about his spice-tolerance, but that was just one of the things he loved about her.
She smiled in relief grateful the juice concoction still managed to turn out, despite having to substitute some of the ingredients. At his compliment she smiled sheepishly in reply.
"It turned out not quite as bad as I feared. I know this juice if it isn't mixed properly can be quite disasterous."
She said before falling silent as she couldn't help but study him in quiet contentment taking in his features as the moonlight danced upon them. He looked so peaceful and at ease his eyes shining with happiness that was now reflected in her own. Had she not finally gotten used to the fact this was no dream Sabe might have been overwhelmed by everything in this moment.
Instead Sabe found herself embracing it all with much fervancy as well as humility. This moment was theirs to share and she wouldn't change it for the universe itself.
She couldn't help but giggle as he tried albiet badly to cover up the fact one of the dishes was too spicy. In truth it was one of her personal favorites but yet at the same time if the ritual was regarded in its fullest extent this would be considered a very good sign.
"I shouldn't be so surprised that it is too spicy for you."
She teased before turning a little serious.
"Had this been the ancient times they would have regarded it as a good omen. It means you are reluctant to taste the fire of battle. It's a sign of a peaceful soul.
Or a low tolerance to peppers."
She added laughing softly as she gave him a wink.
"Don't worry I admit I have a low tolerance for some spices too."
She admitted with a smile.
"So your welcome to poke fun of me about that too."
When she giggled, he covered his mouth with a hand, embarrassed, but chuckling. Then she went on to explain the meaning behind it. He didn't necessarily believe all of that, but it was interesting nonetheless.
'Peaceful soul,' he repeated, thinking it would be nice to have a soul that was eternally at peace. Certainly not in life, but as one was once they were reunited with the Force. He did have to admit, however, that being with her was as close as he thought he could possible get to attaining that sort of peace in his lifetime.
'Poke fun? Never!' he attested, grinning. 'Except for perhaps a certain affinity you have for Truth or Dare... And no, I'm never going to forget that.'
The last dish was a dessert, the pastry he had had such a difficult time in forming into the proper shape. His bit was much nicer looking after Sabé leant him a hand.
Once they had finished and were quite full, it was getting quite chilly out so he reached behind them to grab his cloak and wrap it around the two of them as they reclined on the palette and observed the night sky.
She grinned and shrugged at his reply shaking her head slightly in response.
"Personally I never put much credence into that part of the ritual, although the history itself is interesting I think it's safe to say the ancients were more then a little supersticious."
She blushed at his teasing as she folded her arms unable to resist a smile of her own though she wrinkled her nose at him when he said he would never forget it.
"Or let me live it down might I add!
Although I have to admit you were pretty good at that game yourself!"
Sabe soon was offering the desert and found that it too was far better then she had hoped for as the ingredients proved to be more tricky to substitute then some of hte other dishes. As they ate she couldn't help admit that despite his awkwardness of designing the pastry form he was far better at it then most who try their first time. Especially her as she had a habit of getting the folds mixed up with some of the braiding. Another classic case of that it looks easier then it really is she surmised with a grin.
Upon the completion of their meal the air was cold now but the former handmaiden didn't seem to mind. For Sabe soon found herself in the comfortable warmth that was Obi-Wan's cloak which could only be matched by the close presence of the JEdi Master himself.
AS they rested on the palette and stared at the stars Sabe found her thoughts turning curious once more as she glanced over to the man she could now proudly call her fiancee. The mere thought made her almost giddy with joy though she only sighed contentedly instead before asking.
"When you were in the Jedi Temple training did they ever speak of legends or mythos?"
Resting next to her and gazing at the stars filled him with such a joy he could not voice, but he in turn felt it from her. Her question about the Jedi made him think back to when he was a youngling and a small smile appeared on his face.
'When I was youngling, we were brought to the sacred spire where were were shown holos of Jedi history. We learned of the triumphs of the Order, challenges the Jedi had to face. I suppose some of it could be taken as legends, but I believe in them.
'The more outrageous stories were those I heard from fellow learners. After I began training with Qui-Gon, there were times when we were on Coruscant and I spent some time with other padawan learners. They would tell me all sorts of things about their masters which I would regard as beung the stuff of legends.' He smirked.
'But no, we were only taught facts and figures to start us on the path to Englightenment. I suppose that's why I find your stories about Naboo to be so fascinating...or it could be because of the teller.'
It was hard to explain how it felt to be with him staring at the night sky but part of her knew it wasn't necessary for he understood and that was all that mattered. It was sweet bliss like the perfect moment but only better.
At her question she couldn't help but cast him a glance as he replied noting the small smile creeping into his features and rather enjoying it. She furrowed her brow as he went on to explain how some of the Jedi history was in reality probably legends but he believed them. That and the braggings of his fellow Padawans whcih only served to pique her own curiousity that much more.
"So what sort of legends or adventures did they speak of? Is there any one in particular that stands out in your mind?"
She asked curiously before blushing at his final remarks glancing away briefly as a shy smile creeped into her own features.
"...I'm hardly worthy of being a storyteller myself. Yane was by far superior when it came to retelling of old tales. She had a way of making the legends just come to life in ways I couldn't even begin to try."
She fell silent for a moment her eyes studying the stars a little while longer before finally she finally cast him another glance.
"So how come you were only taught facts and figures? Were such legends and stories considered inappropriate to teach?"
When she furrowed her brow as he spoke of what the Jedi were taught, he took this as her not approving of their ways. He knew he wasn't very good at explaining such things to the unintiated. Jedi history was fact to him, though some other cultures could possibly view it as myth.
He was silent when she asked him of a particular adventure, knowing he'd have to think of a good one.
'I think you're a wonderful storyteller,' he said, though he hadn't really anyone else to compare her to, aside from braggart padawan learners.
Obi-Wan looked to her when she asked about the Jedi teachings and why they were only taught facts. 'Such things are taboo. Why waste your time in fictions when ultimately truths are what you're striving for?' He exhaled, not thinking this was making any sense to her.
'One of the padawans around my age told me this outrageous story about confronting a sea-dragon in a swamp on Drexel II. He said they fought valiately against this sea-dragon and then they defeated a band of pirates...' He broke off chuckling. 'First of all, Drexel II is entirely covered with water, there aren't any swamps. Secondly, none of the masters I know has been on Rishi in the past two decades.'
She wanted to ask him of the history of the Jedi and just what it was he was taught but refrained for the moment unsure if such things would bring with it bad memories. But her curiousity was too strong and soon she couldn't resist wanting to know of the tall tales were spread amoungst his fellow peers.
She wasn't sure if his silence was a sign of him pondering over a good tale or if instead him being lost to his memories. So for the moment she too fell silent patiently waiting till he was ready to speak. But at his compliment she blushed further and cast him a kind smile before reaching out to take his hand in her as she gave it a squeeze.
"Thank you."
She said simply taking the compliment for what it was worth before turning more serious as he explained why legends weren't spoken as lessons. It was confusing for her having grown up on Naboo where legends and myths were almost regarded as sacred for the hidden lessons and truthes they carried.
"Oh...But I always thought legends were spoken for the lessons they carried and the metaphorical truthes they held."
She suddenly felt a bit foolish wondering if he thought less of her culture for holding them in such high regards.
"But I suppose you'd probably consider them child's play huh?"
However the feeling soon passed as he explained the story of how as a padawan he had heard the tale about one of his colleagues fighting a sea-dragon on Drexel 2. She couldn't say she had ever heard of the planet in question but the story was amusing all the same. Grinning she watched him explain why this tale wasn't plausible and couldn't resist laughing softly as she teased.
"I think they would have more better luck saying they fought a sea dragon on Naboo, at least we can say we do have large water beasts that fit that description. Although I can't say we've had pirates for many years though I've been told at one time there was water bandits..."
She then turned pensive.
"Alright hmmm...Can you tell me the most exciting adventure you have ever personally been on in your life?"
Metaphorical truths and lessons, indeed, he thought, but it was not a way in which the Jedi were taught so he was quite unfamiliar with that tradition.
At her mention of the water beasts on Naboo, he couldn't help chuckling. 'That would have been by far a more realistic story.' He shook his head, recalling his master's words, 'There's always a bigger fish... 'Can't say I ran into any pirates though.'
Her final questions was a weighted one. Obi-Wan took a moment, wrapping his arms around her as he thought. He finally murmured, 'The Jedi aren't supposed to view their various missions as adventurous or exciting. It is merely an order from the Council that we are to fulfill and help bring peace to the galaxy. Of course when I was a padawan learner I couldn't help but get excited at the prospect of seeing new planets, meeting new and strange beings...take out a few droids with my lightsaber...' He chuckled.
He had plenty of old war stories and could tell her all about the missions as if they were yesterday, some of the more fond ones being those with Anakin. The thought brought a sad, nostalgic smile to his face. He related a few of the more intriguing mishaps and even the time he'd lost her gift, but in conclusion he said, 'But I have to admit, I think the most exciting adventure...is this one.' He smiled at her.
She raised a brow at his laughter his words instantly intrigued her.
"You sound like you're speaking from experience. Care to elaborate?"
She said with a grin before letting the comfortable silence fall between them once more. As he slipped his arms around her Sabe couldn't resist nuzzling her head against the crook of his neck enjoying the feel of his presence and the peace it exuded.
She tilts her head curiously as he explained before smiling as she studied him for a moment longer before she replied.
"Not regard such things as adventure? So travelling the stars, saving the day rescuing handmaiden's posing as queens is but all in day's work."
She giggled unable to resist or forget his rather grandeous entrance and meeting.
"Certainly know how to make a first impression thats for sure."
She added before listening in attentitive silence as he told a few of his more intriguing adventures all the while slipping her arms around him to hold him near as though offering silent support as she noted the sad nostalgia that lingers in his features. The adventures were so fascinating to listen to she was almost loathed for him to stop. His voice so peaceful and his tales so amusing made her feel like she was a child again listening to the legends spoken by her mother and later her mentor Tame.
But to his conclusion she couldn't help but blush deeply as she gave him a shy smile.
"If this is an adventure then I hope it never ends."
She quietly said as she closed her eyes giving him a squeeze as she sighed contented.
At her statement, he agreed, but did not need to voice this. Instead, he decided to explore one of the newer ways they had found to express such feelings. Obi-Wan wove a hand through her long, brown hair, and smiling, brushed his nose against hers before leaning in to kiss her.
Though she had accepted his less-than-elegant proposal, he would not overstep his bounds and after a sweet, tender kiss, he pulled back and said, he probably ought to go so she could get some rest. It was very late as it was. He didn't want to force her to stay up all night since it had already been a very long day. As much as he was loathed to depart, he was more concerned than before about not wanting to do anything that would make her uncomfortable or dishonour her.
Of course, when he said this, he was still lying in her arms, feeling quite sleepy himself despite the chilly night air.
His silence did not bother her for Sabe had long since grown used to picking up the subtle messages that even her training as Padme's decoy would not permit her to see. It was strange how they had learnt to say so much without saying a word at all and in truth she found it to be quite a relief at times and touching at others.
However in this moment as his fingers slipped into her hair Sabe found herself just as grateful and touched by this form of gentle communication as well. His nose brushed against hers and she too smiled in silent reply her eyes dancing in joy before she closed them to his gentle kiss. It just seemed almost too perfect to be real and Sabe couldn't help but be humbled by it all, to think how fortunate she was to be able to share this with him. To know that someday soon every night she would be able to hold him like this and know when the sun rose he would be there by her side. The thought caused her to smile even though he pulled back slightly and admitted that he should probably depart.
She was loathed for him to leave, yet at the sametime she knew that it was probably best. After all she had to depart first thing in the morning herself and would need what little sleep she could still get. After much was depending on her for this side mission and she would need her wits about her. So it is with great reluctance that she quietly sighed and gently untangled herself from his embrace her eyes turning wistful as she did so.
"I suppose we should call it a night. Although, you are welcome to stay if you like."
She offered already deciding if he agreed she would take the couch and leave him her room. For though she found his sleepy expression to be more then a little endearing it concerned her that in his tired condition he might end up dozing off on his trek home. Which was a deadly mistake in these parts.
It suddenly felt much colder as she moved out of his embrace. He remained on the palette for a moment, stretching before rising to his feet. Not wanting to overstay his welcome or impose on her hospitality, he thanked her but politely declined the offer to stay over.
Obi-Wan then helped her bring in all the dishes and helped her clean up before giving her a kiss goodbye. The memory of this long, joyful day and its wonderful conclusion would keep him plenty awake for his walk home. At the doorway, he thanked her again as he bowed, grinning all the while.
On the walk back, he couldn't help replaying the entire event. His footsteps were surprisingly light despite being weary. And when he arrived, he fell onto his bed, in a dreamy state.
Had it really happened? Had he really--and then she really--and they were going to...
It was with these happy thoughts that he drifted off to sleep eager to wake the next day to go and see her again. He already missed her.
She did her best to hide her dissappointment as he declined her offer. In reality she knew he probably would have but couldn't resist oppertunity all the same. For though she had to leave first thing in the morning it would have warmed her heart to know he was resting safely nearby.
She brought in the dishes with Obi-Wan's help and was soon chatting away about other celebrations she thought he might enjoy sharing with her in the future.
The future. The mere thought once filled her with dread and fury but now it filled her with joy. There was so much to look foward to, that it almost made her giddy with excitement. To think about being able to share the simple joys in life with him just seemed to wonderful to be real and yet it was.
As they parted ways she kissed him good-night and felt her heart fluttered at the realization that someday they would do the same but he would not be leaving to return home for his home would be hers. She bowed to him at the doorway and was unable to hide her own beaming smile as she thanked him for sharing this wonderful evening with her as well. AS he departed she quietly stood in the doorway watching him as he walked away not bothering to return inside until his shadowed silohuete was completely out of sight.
It was with these warm thoughts that Sabe found herself drifting off to sleep to as her mind continued to replay the events of the evening and all the simple joys of life that would lie ahead for them both when the time was right.
