Phantom Menace: Pre Battle of Naboo, Queen's Starship, Evening
The Replacement Padawan
He couldn't help feeling frustrated when Qui-Gon told him the Council would decide Anakin's fate and it should be enough for him, ordering him to get on board. Despite knowing it wasn't his place to disagree with his master, he couldn't help it. The Council felt the boy waws dangerous and so did Obi-Wan. He didn't understand why Qui-Gon thought this boy was the Chosen One from the prophecy. If he was dangerous, Obi-Wan doubted he would bring balance to the Force.
He also couldn't help feeling slighted when Qui-Gon told the Council he would train Anakin. It was only now that he had Anakin that Qui-Gon felt Obi-Wan was able to face the trials? This didn't sit well with him and he tried not to be depressed by it.
As he boarded, he went straight to his room, hoping to find some peace of mind and clear his head.
After what seemed like an eternity for the normally spartan decoy, the make-up and elaborate hair style to complete her role as the Queen had finally been completed. However instead of easing her nerves and relaxing her as it normally did for her friend Sabe found herself growing rather antsy. Although most of it was attributed to the up and coming meeting with the Gungan leaders Sabe couldn't help but also feel a little concerned at the fact the boy would be joining them.
The history between the Gungan's and the Naboo were volatile at best and this impromptu meeting could end with either success of utter disaster. No matter the situation, it was hardly the safe environment for a child to be despite the security that would be joining them. But her Queen openly stated the Anakin would be joining them and as such Sabe had to comply despite her concerns and doubts.
Moving quietly through the hallways she was grateful that at least for the moment she was free to move alone. But even this was only because she knew what halls to wander and where to avoid. Yet as she tried to clear her thoughts she found she couldn't shake instinctive feeling that something threatening to her was near. Though she knew such thoughts were rather pointless Sabe couldn't shake the feeling and soon she decided it was best to avoid returning to her majesty's chambers. After all Sabe's intuition had yet to fail her and if there was indeed a threat she would rather draw it away from her Queen then lead her to it.
Though she was the picture of calm inwardly her heart raced as her eyes turned sharp looking for this strange hidden threat. Whatever it was, it was following her that much she was certain. Suddenly without warning Sabe's hand grabbed the hidden laser pistol from it's hidden holster in her gown's many pockets. Whirling around she aimed it in the direction she was certain the threatening presence would be found only to blanche in confusion and then flush in embarrassment.
The young boy stepped back in shock, his eyes two perfectly round orbs of blue to match his gaping mouth as he took in the fierce sight of the warrior queen before him. Sabe thoroughly embarrassed for her display promptly lowered her weapon as her make-up to her relief covered her burning cheeks.
"I'm sorry if I startled you- your majesty."
He stammered before continuing.
"I was only hoping to see Padme again. I thought she might have been with you."
"I'm sorry young Skywalker but you should not be here. This is a restricted area."
She replied quickly trying to ignore the confusion that had briefly clouded her thoughts. I must be more stressed and exhausted then I realize Sabe thought in embarrassment realizing the threat she had sensed was none other then the boy seeking out her majesty. The boy looked awkward but stood his ground, as Sabe noticed that despite what she percieved to inappropriate behavior he didn't even blush.
"Padme has retired for the evening, I suggest you do the same. Tomorrow is certain to be long day."
The boy eyes dropped to his hands as his expression turned dissapointed.
"I guess so."
Sabe inwardly took a deep breathe before quietly moving to guide young Anakin back to the guest quarters to where he would be resting for the evening. But even as she politely parted ways with him Sabe had a distinct feeling Anakin wasn't about to remain put for long and sure enough almost as soon as she rounded the corner of the hall she could hear the door to his room part and the soft patter of a child's footsteps trailing in the opposite direction.
Thank the gods he's headed in the wrong direction, she inwardly mused with a sigh of relief. Though Sabe knew she should probably track him down and return the headstrong boy to his room she let it pass. After all if she got caught, Sabe would rather not have to explain why she was roaming the halls alone.
It was with this train of thought she quietly prepared to return to the private halls of her Queen's quarters. But so lost in her thoughts Sabe only picked up the powerful hum that was Obi-Wan's signature as she rounded the corner leaving her almost face to face with the Jedi Padawan himself.
"Jedi Kenobi!?"
If he hadn't been so lost in his thoughts, Obi-Wan wouldn't have been startled nor would he have nearly run into the decoy queen.
'I'm sorry, my lady,' he said, a slight hint of his melancholy evident in his voice. He had luckily side-stepped in time so that they did not in fact collide into each other.
He bowed to her in apology for not being more aware.
She felt her cheeks flush as she realized how close they camed to colliding but at his apology Sabe instantly grew concerned.
"I should be the one apologizing Jedi Kenobi. I wasn't watching where I was going."
She gently replied before studying his features as he finished his apologetic bow. While she thought perhaps the hint of melancholy she heard might have been her edgy mind playing tricks she could tell he was troubled. Though he hid it well incredibly well in fact as the Queen's decoy she had long since learnt to read between the lines of body language. Furrowing her brow slightly she took the chance and couldn't help but gently ask.
"Is everything alright? You seem...a little...troubled."
She almost said sad but felt it might be inappropriate to make such assumptions. But then to even ask such a question might be considered too personal already. At this thought she politely added.
"I will understand however, if you'd rather not discuss it."
'It's nothing,' he replied automatically and walked a few trudging paces towards the door of his temporary accomodations, but then he stopped and looked back at her, thinking it was quite rude of him to be so brash in reply.
There really wasn't anyone he could speak to about all of this, about his feelings that he guiltily shouldn't be feeling. He knew he shouldn't let any of this bother him, especially when there are more important things to be concerned about.
'You'd think I was being quite self-centered...' He palmed the door open though his eyes were still on her.
Obi-Wan's abrupt reply instantly confirmed Sabe's thoughts that something was obviously on his mind. Yet try as she might to back down and give him his privacy Sabe couldn't quite convince herself to do so. Watching as he moved past her to his quarters Sabe fell silent. Her eyes grew sad as well as concerned as she couldn't help but wish there could be some way she could help him with whatever it was the bothered him so deeply.
But just as she was about to give the young Jedi his privacy Obi-Wan spoke catching her attention immediately as Sabe found herself studying his features as she found herself studying his eyes brefly before she replied.
"Hardly.
Jedi Kenobi if you'll forgive me for saying so, but I think you are the least self-centered person I have ever met."
Her cheeks warmed slightly at her bold admitance but couldn't help herself but continue as she added softly.
"If something is troubling you, then I imagine it is for a good reason. And even if you don't believe it to be, surely it can't hurt to talk about it, to get it off your shoulders for a time."
She gently offered hoping that he would trust her enough to open up even a little so at the very least she could offer some silent support.
He crossed his arms as he listened to what she was saying. Her words heartened him, but at the same time, he felt he shouldn't be feeling like that either and it was all quite confusing.
Certainly it would help to talk about it. It couldn't hurt things. And if she thought ill of him for anything he might say...but she didn't seem to be a judgemental person...
'I suppose you're right. You are too kind,' he added thoughtfully. 'It's probably not a conversation one ought to have in a hallway...' He looked into the room and then back at her unsure as to whether it would be appropriate to invite her in, after all she was 'queen'. 'I don't suppose the refectory is still accessible at this hour?'
She bowed her head feeling both relieved and touched that he would be
willing to trust her with his thoughts. But at his words the decoy
couldn't help but nod slightly in agreement before feeling her cheeks
warm as he glanced back to his quarters briefly. While she knew that
they were only going to talk Sabe instantly knew such a location would
be quite unappropriate for the Queen or even a handmaiden to be alone
with the young Jedi, certainly not without a chaparone. Yet as though
picking up on her thoughts he politely suggested the refectory and Sabe
soon smiled and nodded in agreement.
"If it isn't it will be now."
She said gently as her smile widened slightly.
"After all there are some advantages to being queen. Even if its only posing as one."
'Oh, right,' he said, nodding. He truthfully hadn't thought of her as the queen for a split second, nor that she would have that sort of power. He had just been thinking of her as a girl...a girl he was going to talk to about things bothering him.
Obi-Wan followed her to the refrectory, which she graciously opened for them and he sat down at a table in the same spot they had eaten together just a day or so ago. He took a deep breath and let it out, still unsure where to begin.
Probably best to just cut to the chase, he figured. 'My master and I had a disagreement...about the boy. I think he's dangerous and so does the Council. Qui-Gon thinks he is the Chosen One from a Jedi prophesy, that he will bring balance to the Force. And he told the Council he would train him. I thought I wasn't through with my training yet.
iUntil this boy arrived, Qui-Gon was constantly reminding me of my failings and now, now he thinks I'm ready to face the trials merely because of this boy? So he can train him instead? I don't know what to think.'
Quietly she led him to the refrectory which was locked and empty, much to her relief. As he sat down at the table Sabe automatically moved to boil some water for tea before quietly joining him once agian.
Watching him closely Sabe couldn't help but feel concerned for him. He truly looked troubled and his hesitance only seemed to confirm her concerns. But soon he began to speak and his words not only piqued her curiousity it also made her feel more then a little defensive for him.
She didn't mean to hold ill feelings towards Master Jinn but at Obi-Wan's words Sabe found her opinion of the older Jedi to lessen. Although she tried to be respectful and take into consideration she knew very little of the ways of the Jedi Order Sabe couldn't help but feel irked at Obi-Wan's Master's defiance of his superior's warnings and observation.
But if Sabe was perfectly honest with herself she'd have to admit a good portion of her agitation also stemmed to the the fact that he so easily tossed Obi-Wan aside for this supposed prophecy and what he thought to be it's avatar. Had their years of training meant so little to the older Jedi? The thought made her feel even more defensive of the Jedi Padawan before her.
Not only did it come across to her as being inappropriate, but it was down right rude, nevermind how wounding that must have been for Obi-Wan. The water at this point had begun to boil and Sabe rose to her feet to grab some mugs as well as the tea. All the while trying to find the right words that wouldn't fully express her anger at Master Jinn's behavior out of respect for Obi-Wan. Quietly she returned and placed the mugs onto the table before waiting for the tea to settle.
Remaining pensive for a moment longer Sabe couldn't help but briefly remember the strange feelings she felt when she believed she was alone in the hallway. A shiver ran down her spine as she could still hear Obi-Wan's remarks about the young boy being dangerous. But as soon as the thought entered her mind Sabe shrugged it off inwardly chastizing herself for being so paranoid and silly. It's the stress over tomorrow's events she inwardly surmised burying her doubts and petty fears as her attentions once more returned to the Jedi before her.
"Please forgive my bold words Jedi Kenobi as I mean no offence to your or your master. But I hardly find your concerns on this matter to be self-centered. In fact if anything, I find your Master's behavior to be..."
She hesitated and bowed her head feeling shamed by her own boldness but knowing it's too late to stop now.
"...less then admirable. If I may, I'd even go as far to say that your caution in this matter only confirms your wisdom. Especially when one considers the leaders of your Order who are wisened and experienced also find this youngling to be a danger as well.
I am hesitant to speak my thoughts pertaining to your Master Obi-Wan as it would be very disrespectful of me to do. But I will admit one thing.
While I'm certain he has his reasons, I hardly find rushing you through your training so he can ensure that this potentially volatile child is trained is hardly becoming of a Jedi Knight."
Sabe frowned deeply and for a moment she forgot herself as she spoke in calm but not so nuetral tones.
"Not only it is unbecoming, but it is highly inappropriate, nevermind rude or inconsiderate of your feelings.
You have every right to be troubled by this Obi-Wan. I'd certainly feel slighted, not to mention deeply wounded if my trainer Tame ever behaved as he has. You don't deserve this poor behavior."
She then fell silent for a moment as she realized how her words must have sounded and it caused her cheeks burned as she quickly apologized.
"I'm sorry, now I am the one beign completely inappropriate and rude."
Her eyes however remained soft and caring but sad as her heart went out to him and his situation. It still baffled her to think Master Jinn would be so eager to put Obi-Wan aside after all their years of serving their Order together as Master and Padawan in order to train this perfect stranger with a high midichlorian count.
'I find your master's behaviour to be...less than admirable.'
This thought had entered Obi-Wan's head, but he dismissed it, thinking he was being quite egotistical for thinking such a thing about his master.
'It is not disrespect, Master, it is the truth.'
'From your point of view.'
Yes, Obi-Wan thought. From my point of view and the rest of the Jedi Council which you continually are at odds with... His thoughts shifted to their last conversation.
'If you would just follow the Code, you would be on the Council. They will not go along with you this time.'
'You still have much to learn, my young apprentice.'
Things just didn't add up... If I still have much to learn, then why am I being cast off?
Obi-Wan remained silent for a moment, caught up in his own thoughts. He did not believe what she was saying was inappropriate or rude and he was almost ashamed to admit that it felt nice to have the support of another.
'I know I shouldn't, but I can't help it...' he said slowly, swallowing hard. 'I feel dejected and angry...and a bit jealous... I shouldn't be,' he repeated, shaking his head. 'I should be grateful that he thinks I'm ready to face the trials and not be concerned about such petty things...'
He looked to the young woman sitting across from him, the hurt evident in his eyes as much as he tried to hide it. For some reason, he felt that admitting all of this to her would somehow make it better as if she possessed the salve for his wounds.
Sabe couldn't be certain what to make of his silence but it troubled her deeply to see him like this. He had every right to be bothered and troubled by this turn of events and the handmaiden couldn't help but wish once more there could be a way for her to help. Yet at the sametime she couldn't help but fear that perhaps her blunt remarks had done more damage then good. I should learn to keep my words to myself more often she inwardly groused to herself as she mistakenly read his silence as a sign he was offended by her words./
But as he spoke with eyes so sad Sabe instantly felt her heart ache for him though she couldn't truly understand the full reason why. His words spoke volumes to her, his humble response and the fact he truly believed he shouldn't feel so badly for his Master's poor behavior. He words only confirmed her views of him being a nobleman and one who took his honour very seriously. Yet it also spoke volumes of his masters and this collided with her good sense as she knew she had no right to carry such judgemental thoughts about Master Jinn.
"You only feel frustrated and dejected because you have been slighted Obi-Wan. I'm sorry to say but Master Jinn's words completely contradict his actions. I would feel troubled and bothered too if I was in your position.
How did he expect your to react? One minute he is telling you that you are far from ready to complete your trials only to miraculously change his mind the minute a child with a higher midichlorian count then yours comes into his life. Even worse is the fact he is even willing to take the boy under his wing against his superiors, nevermind your own better judgements."
Falling silent for a moment Sabe couldn't help but be tempted to hug him. To offer silent comfort and support through the simple gesture. But despite the temptation she resisted the urge. Had it been Rabe or Eirtae or any of her others sisters discussing this matter to her Sabe wouldnt have hesitated but she feared such a gesture would be considered highly inappropriate and the mere thought made her cheeks burn slightly.
Still he looked so torn and troubled that Sabe in the end found herself having to glance away lest she comprimise and bring them both dishonour through what she had intented to be a gesture of support and friendship. After recomposing her thoughts she returned her attentions to him as she quietly replied.
"I know this doesn't sound like much...But I hardly find this petty...Neither do I think less of you for having being troubled by all of this.
If anything my respect for you has grown further for it. Even though you have every right to be angered and bothered, you have kept a clear head and tried to look at this as objectivally as you can.
It is a good sign of leadership and it speaks well of your character."
She said in gentle but sincere tones.
His hand moved of its own accord, wanting to make a connection with her and he soon found it resting over her painted one.
'Thank you listening to me,' he replied, a bit ashamed that he was glad someone did for once. It was also nice for someone to agree with him. Perhaps there was some truth in his discontent, that things weren't right, that his master was making bad decisions.
Obi-Wan also felt glad that she didn't think less of him for having such feelings. It was reassuring on more than one level, though he was as of yet unable to process the deeper level.
She had trusted him with her secret, that she was Padmé's decoy, and in turn, he was opening up to her about things he was normally forced to keep hidden, ignored until they went away. He wondered what it was about her that made him feel so at ease.
She felt his hand slip over hers and once more felt the electrical touch warm her fingers. Instantly her heart skipped a beat and began to flutter as her cheeks started to warm. The confusing thoughts once more filtered into her mind and Sabe found herself once more unable to resist a shy glance to him. She wish she could make sense of what she felt in that moment but it seemed to evade her and so instead she clung onto the sensation of peaceful ease she always felt around him. It was easier that way to hold onto the feelings she reconized instead of trying to figure these new pleasant stirrings she felt but couldn't pinpoint in her heart.
Without realizing it Sabe's began to lightly draw rub the top of his hand with her thumb as inwardly she couldn't help but feel touched by his gentle reply. It didn't feel like she did much but the Jedi before her seemed to think differently and it humbled Sabe who bowed her head slightly as a shy smile played on her lips.
"It's the least I can do."
She said softly before chancing another glance at him as she gently added.
"I am honoured that you trust me enough to speak of your concerns like this."
When her thumb rolled over the top of his hand, those feelings he hadn't been able to identify earlier returned full throttle. It certainly seemed to heal that ache caused by his master...that someone else cared. Even if it was only temporary, this kindness would always be remembered.
'I don't normally have the chance to,' Obi-Wan said. 'And I appreciate your allowing me to do so. I also value your opinion.'
He gave her hand a gentle squeeze, feeling it was only appropriate to do so in this circumstance though if asked, he wouldn't be able to identify exactly why.
She bowed her head slightly humbled and moved once more by his kind words as she continued her subtle gesture without concious thought. At his simple reply she couldn't help but furrow her brow as inwardly she felt her heart once more go out to him. Though she knew their pathes would soon part ways she inwardly wished there could be a chance for them to share more moments like this.
But for now this was theirs and Sabe couldn't help but find herself eternally grateful for it, even though there was no joy to be found in her friend's pain. She blushed at his final remarks feeling his hand gently squeezing her own as once more she felt her heart flutter as her thoughts briefly scattered in confusion to another assault of unfamiliar emotions.
"I'm sorry that such oppertunities are so rare for you. It can't be easy to have to carry such burdens and not be able to have another to speak to about them.
However I am grateful to have been given this chance to be able to offer some small support, despite the fact this isn't the happiest moment for you."
She paused for a moment before gently adding.
"It means alot to me that you find my opinion valuable..."
Her voice trailed off as her eyes flickered revealing more then she was capable of saying. The handmaiden wanted to tell him that she wished she could be there for him when he needed someone to talk to. That she would never forget this moment or any of the moments they shared in the past few days. That she would forever cherish this delicate friendship that they had formed always, that she would never forget his kindness or bravery. That he was the most noble and honourable man she had ever met.
But even beneath these thoughts there were the whispers of something far more profound than the decoy could ever possibly hope to register or understand. It was the beginning chords of a heart's symphony; one that would take years to write and would only be completed when finally united with the Jedi Padawan's own. But for now the silent beginning notes goes unnoticed by her unsuspecting and innocent thoughts leaving her to only understand the silent appriciation of their friendship instead.
Obi-Wan appreciated her words, thankful for her support. It was hard to believe that this might be the last time they would have a chance to speak candidly like this.
Despite everything that was so uncertain, his master's actions, the boy with a high midichlorian count, the upcoming battle on Naboo, the unfamiliar emotions that had been building since the first time they saw each other... Despite all of that, he felt that there was something here, something to do with this young woman sitting across from him, that would remain unchanging. Though if asked, he could not define it.
There was something about her, something about the way she could speak to him without having to say anything. It was a connection of some sort, one that he did not yet realise would last him a lifetime and beyond death.
It wasn't the makeup and garb of the Queen of Naboo, it wasn't the intricate hairstyles or queenly mannerisms. Obi-Wan studied her carefully, trying to figure out this mysterious, curious association. There it was, in her eyes...through which he could see into her compassionate soul. The touch of her hand seemed to verify it. She and he had something more in common that the superficial levels of service to any particular order or person, something deeper, stronger and it was a bit scary though simultaneously serene.
'Promise me you'll look after yourself,' he finally said, though it came out rather abrupt. 'In the battle to come, I mean...' He knew she would remain dressed as the queen which would make her an easy target.
A comfortable silence seemed to fall between them and Sabe found herself once more studying the young Jedi before her. She envied his persistant calm and ability to see clearly through matters that were even personal to him all the while it made her determined to become this way herself. There was something about him she couldn't quite explain that made Sabe want to go the extra mile to strive to become something better then she was. It wasn't about competition or rivallry but rather the inexorable need to improve to become a better person over all. He brought out the best in her and yet Sabe couldn't possibly begin to explain why that was.
She felt his eyes fall on her and Sabe found once more both concious of herself and yet rather enjoying his watchful gaze all the same. It was both humbling and at the same time intriguing. Though she tried to avert his gaze lest she make him feel uncomfortable for being caught studying her Sabe found her eyes had a mind of her own and soon they found his as she returned his gaze..
It was hard to look away as she found herself being drawn into the serene pools of blue. It was strange to think that somehow his eyes seemed to speak to her. It was as though he was conveying a thousand messages without a single word. Like an unspoken connection that only they understood. The thought both confused and intrigued her all the while tempting her to ponder upon it further.
But the moment drew to a close as he finally spoke snapping her back out of her thoughts. At his words Sabe bowed her head slightly, obviously touched by his concern. Hearing him speak this thought meant more to her then she realized and Sabe briefly found herself at a loss for words.
"...I promise to be careful Obi-Wan."
She said gently before casting him a concerned look as well.
"But you are the one I am more concerned about, after all what if that creature returns? What if he was working with or for the Trade Federation? He won't be turning his attentions to anything less then a worthy foe."
She admitted quietly her eyes filling with fear for him. After all if the hushed rumours she had heard were correct about the dark man then it was safe to say his prey would probably not be the Naboo queen or her maidens.
'Qui-Gon said he thought the warrior was after the queen, but I feel you're right, that Sith would have more reason to attack the Jedi.
'But why now... I feel there's something else going on here outside of the Trade Federation and border disputes...something...' Obi-Wan's eyes seemed to go out of focus a bit as he pondered the elusive darkness that appeared to slowly surround them.
Finally he shook himself from the possible futures that tempted to draw him in. To know the future is to be trapped by it...The future is always in motion...
'You don't need to worry about me though,' he added, feeling ennobled by her words. 'The Dark Side is not more powerful than the Light.' He didn't know if he was saying this to allay her fears or his own.
She furrowed her brow not wishing to admit or speak her thoughts outloud in relation to his Master. Considering Master Jinn's behavior of before Sabe couldn't help but feel a little shamed by the skeptism she now felt towards the Jedi Knight. As if sensing her thoughts Obi-Wan spoke outloud confirming those doubts as she could only nod slightly in reply.
But as he continued Sabe couldn't help but turn pensive herself. He was right why would such beings care about the border disputes or anything of the like. Weren't they more interested in destroying their age old enemies? None of it made sense if she was perfectly honest with herself.
She was about to comment on this but noting his distant expression she refrained not wishing to intrupt his train of thought. But when he spoke again Sabe eyes wavered though she knew in reality he probably could fend for himself it did little to allievate her concern for him. But his final words gave her some assurance as she remembered his words of wisdom of earlier.
Fear leads to darkness. Focus on the positive.
"Well then let me at least wish you the best of luck in the journey ahead. May the gods or the Force keep you safe and ensure your path never clouded."
She said softly wishing to offer him some sort of blessing but unsure how he would regard such words and hoping she would not offend him by it.
She did not speak for awhile and he feared he had somehow offended her. Then she wished him luck and he was unsure how to take that. However, she continued and he realised it was a blessing.
Obi-Wan bowed his head in honorific acceptance of her blessing. Then he raised it saying, 'My lady, I entrust myself to you; and whatever peril I face, may I always bear you in mind.'
As he bowed his head Sabe couldn't be sure if it was out of humilation or honour. But as he raised his head his gentle words struck a chord within her and for the first time Sabe began to realize just how much she feared for his safety. Once more reminding herself he was a skilled warrior Sabe tried to bury the concerns she felt in that moment. She was greatly moved by them and found herself to be quite speachless. It truly was a statement of a knight of the Old Guard and Sabe couldn't help but feel more then a little unworthy of such a powerful statement.
Turning shy Sabe felt her cheeks warm once more as instinctivally she gave his hand a squeeze as her eyes studied him closely for a moment before she lowered them feeling concious of herself suddenly.
"Jedi Kenobi you humble me once more with your kind words. I would ask for your safe return but I know such a statement is only spoken by those who are unfamiliar with the chaos of battle or fools who are too arrogant to respect its dangers.
So instead I ask is that whatever happens next, may you safe and secure in your stance so the enemy may never gain the upper hand."
'Thank you, Lady Sabé,' he said, using her proper title only because of the honour her words bestowed on his once again. 'I pray the Force will guide you in the battle to come and that you will serve your queen as well as I have been oblidged to witness these past few days.'
These few glorious days... he thought.
The touch of her hand and gentle squeeze warmed his heart for reasons he could not, nor would not speak of.
Blushing to his kind words Sabe bowed her head slightly in reply her eyes shining as she gave him a gentle but shy smile in reply.
How I am going to miss you a soft voice deep within seemed to whisper unbeknownst to the decoy's concious thoughts.
"Thank you Jedi Kenobi...For everything."
She said softly unaware of just how much weight those simple words suddenly carried.
